My Journey Here
The books I read as a child sparked a passion for narrative that still guides me.
As an adult, with the support of like-minded friends, I began to see that the narratives capturing our attention not only connect us to humanity’s shared challenges and complexities but also reveal insights into the consequences of the paths we choose. At their core, they are maps – varying in levels of lucidity and accuracy.
Around 2020, I began to recognize the extent to which narratives can be weaponized, with out-of-context sentences and unclarified assumptions often hinting at deeper intentions. I saw the problem everywhere, including in the organizations and individuals I believed in most, and also in myself.
Like many others, I began searching for meaningful ways to contribute to the human project and our critical efforts to sense-make and coordinate. Along the way, I found a spark of hope in the large-scale coordination experiments of Web3.
Since then, I have primarily focused my efforts on aiding projects within the Web3 space, particularly those aiming toward a more sustainable future. Most importantly, I work with those who are willing and desiring to spot their working assumptions and iterate toward a more accurate map of the collective landscape.
I deeply believe in our ability to overcome our worst tendencies through open, good-faith communication and am so grateful for the community I’ve formed through the process of attempting to figure out how.
About My Work
For the last 4 years, I’ve worked in Web3, conducting alignment workshops and creating documentation for internal and external use.
My Bachelor’s in Applied Behavioral Analysis and Master’s in Educational Psychology provide insight into the reward mechanisms needed for the creation of engaging and meaningful content. My aim for each project is to create an output that is mutually beneficial for my clients and their audiences.
Some examples of past projects can be found on my list of Services.
Working Across DAOs
I work across multiple DAOs, which carries important considerations:
Handling Sensitive Information: To maintain objectivity and avoid conflicts of interest, I refrain from taking decision-making roles. While most of my clients openly share their methods and insights, I always carefully protect sensitive information, with or without written agreements.
Facilitating Connections: As a standard practice, I avoid making introductions between clients. However, in rare cases where a connection would offer clear, mutual benefits, I first confirm interest from both parties and ensure only publicly available information is shared.
Future Aims
Alongside my work in alignment and copywriting, I’m looking to dive into educational game development. My background in ABA and Educational Psychology has shown me just how powerful play can be for learning. With a combined understanding of reward systems and storytelling, contributing to “Serious Games” seems like a logical and exciting next move. If you’re interested in discussing collaboration, please feel free to reach out at any time. I would love to talk!
